ABA Therapy

Behavior Basics provides program development, consulting and direct instruction to children on the Autism Spectrum and with other developmental disabilities ages 2-18 using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA uses the principles of learning and human behavior to bring about meaningful and positive behavior change. We provide services in-clinic, in-home and in the community in Alexandria, Virginia and the surrounding area. Our staff is highly trained in applied behavior analysis (ABA), verbal behavior (VB) and natural environemnt teaching (NET) and we use various assessment tools including the VB-Mapp, ABLLS-RPEAK and other assessments to design our treatment plans.

Our services are focused on teaching in the natural environment and teaching functional and meaningful skills including, but not limited to, communication, academic, professional, social, leisure and independent living skills. We include parent, family and staff training in our treatment plans and are also available to provide trainings and workshops tailored to an individual, family or organization's specific needs.
