Behavior Coaching

At Behavior Basics we believe everyone is capable of doing anything they set their minds to. The staff at Behavior Basics combine their personal commitment to living a balanced life with their coaching, counseling and behavior training to help others. Our goal is to help people set and achieve goals so that they can live a healthier, happier and more balanced life.

We help our clients assess their individual needs using the Life Balance Wheel and identify the area(s) they want to improve. 

Then using our BASICS approach we help you select the interventions you need to successfully achieve your goals.

Whether you are looking to strengthen your relationships, increase your job satisfaction, learn to manage your emotions or are interested in setting fitness and wellness goals, the staff at Behavior Basics can help.

What is the Behavior BASICS approach?

During your initial session we will describe the procedures we use in more details, but here is a quick summary of what you can expect.

B – Brainstorm: Since our programs are individualized, we take time to explore your specific needs. What areas are most important to you? What areas in your life are you unsatisfied with? What areas are you struggling with and what kind of change are you looking for?

A – Assess: We use a behavior approach that allows you to objectively look at various areas in your life, so that you can assess your current skills and skill deficits, set appropriate goals and select interventions that will meet your needs.

S – Set Goals : Achieving behavior change and acquiring new skills starts with setting the right goals. Our staff is trained in helping you set goals that are both meaningful and attainable.

I – Intervene: Change does not happen automatically. We use evidence-based interventions to help you take the steps necessary to develop skills and achieve the behavior change necessary to meet your goals.

C – Collect Data: Our behavior approach uses objective data collection, which allows you to track progress and ensure you are on the right path to achieving your goals. It also allows us to see when something isn't working and make adjustments to your plan.

S – See Results: Results is what it’s all about! If an intervention isn’t working, we will reassess your plan and make adjustments. It’s all about helping you get to where you want to go!

Behavior Coaching appointments can be in-person or remote and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly or monthly based on your inidividual needs.
